Moving Forward in Changing Times

It’s part of the human condition to be worried and anxious in these changing times.  It’s natural to feel like we’re the effect of everything that’s going on.  Fear and uncertainty about what the future will bring can be difficult to deal with.

We’re WAY out of our comfort zones with financial insecurity, a lack of real information and limits on our everyday movements due to ‘social distancing’ and quarantines.  It’s testing our resilience and can stretch our patience to the breaking point.

Hopefully, as more people get back to work, the governmen’s plan will work and we can feel more ‘normal’, whatever that will be.   It’s definitely, not going to be the same as it was, at least for a while.

Inspiration

‘The Times They Are a Changin’ is a song that was written and recorded by Bob Dylan in 1964.  It was also recently performed on ‘American Idol’ by Dillion James.  Dylan wrote it during the Civil Rights Movement and the Vietnam War which was a time of great distress and conflict for our country and other parts of the world.

This song reminds me that we’ve been in difficult, changing times before and gotten through them, and we’ll get through this one too.

If you feel worried and anxious, have compassion for yourself…..and others too.

Be informed, but stay away from the news.  The problem with it is that, unfortunately, it’s mostly bad news.

Find some positive inspiration and try to move forward.  The sooner you face up to your situation, the sooner you can do something about it.

I know, that’s easy to SAY, but despite the way things may feel right now, all is not lost.  There’s a lot we can’t control these days, but think of what you CAN control and use that to make a plan for yourself.  Brainstorm and regroup if you have to, then change things accordingly. Create goals.  Write down steps to get there with dates of when they should be finished.  Figure out how you can be bigger and better after this is all over.

Refuse to be knocked down!     Move forward.  Find new opportunites.  Possibility awaits!

Make no mistake…..

This is the ultimate time to be positive.

It feels like just the opposite should be true, but now, more than ever

we must direct the force of our creative thoughts.

If it doesn’t feel natural it may take some practice  Being fearful negative or even critical are easy things to slip into, especially during these times. Being positive can take some work.   So take time every day to develop that ‘muscle’.

Create a Better Future

If we band together, take care of each other, be proactive and stay positive in the midst of all the uncertainty, I truly believe we can come out better than before.

It may seem impossible right now, BUT…..

MAKE IT YOUR INTENTION THAT THIS TIME WILL BRING POSITIVE CHANGES, in your life and for the planet.

If we all did that, wow, what a place we’d have!

This is a time for evolving and growing.

THIS SITUATION CAN BE A BITTER PILL OR A FINE CHALLENGE, IT ALL DEPENDS ON HOW YOU CHOOSE TO LOOK AT IT.

t’s not just about thinking positive.  If we want a better future we have to create it for ourselves. So make a plan and take action.  In these ways, life will feel more secure and beautiful again soon.
